Snuff nicotine and addictiveness
Nicotine which can also be found in snuff is both stimulating and addictive and one becomes dependent after some months with a daily use. The substance is not cancer-causing but it brings down the blood circulation. Furthermore, the nicotine affects the brain and the nervous system. The nicotine imitates the substance acetylcholine which is a natural neurotransmitter with many important functions, such as communication between nerve cells. The rest of the body is also affected by nicotine which e.g. it makes blood pressure and pulse rate rise.
